Principal’s Message

Greetings Osprey Families!

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Island Village Elementary School! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break and are ready to embark on a new academic journey filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities.

As we begin our second year together, I want to extend a warm welcome to both returning students and those who are joining us for the first time. We have a lot of new Ospreys this year, and I am excited to get to know each of you as we go through the year. I look forward to being a part of the positive impact that we will share together.

To our dedicated teachers and staff members, thank you for being dedicated to work together to unlock and develop the talents of our students. Your commitment and dedication do not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for the passion and willingness to go above and beyond that you bring to our school every day.

As we welcome our new families, let us embrace the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead with optimism, resilience, and a growth mindset. Remember that each day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference in the lives of our students.

My connection with Boggy Creek actually starts a long time ago. I was a student here when we first moved to Kissimmee so I started here in first grade and stayed through fifth grade. Now I get to see my boys go to school here and experience things and see how the school grown in, you know, 25 plus years. It’s been really great to see all the opportunities that they get from coming to a school that’s as connected to the community as Boggy Creek is.
